Season's Greetings from Spend Time

As has become our tradition here at Spend Time, rather than sending Christmas cards we will support a local charity, First Days, again this year. First Days is a children’s charity whose work aims to reduce child poverty and give choice, restore dignity and empower families who are living with a low income or are experiencing financial hardship.

We have bought the following items, which First Days have said are in high demand at the moment from the families they support:

  • 17 winter coats

  • 16 pairs of wellies

  • 10 bottle sterilisers

  • 6 pillow and duvet sets

  • 1 fleece blanket

It's sad to think that families are struggling to provide such basic items but we hope our donations will make a difference to a few children out there, this winter.

In addition we have again bought a selection of delightful Usborne festive books that we hope might be enjoyed by some of the children at bed time over the Christmas period. First Days is a great project, and we are delighted to support it.

An update on our news

It has been a busy year again here at Spend Time and we'd love to share with you a few of our highlights.

  • In July, Vicki moved into her new role as Practice Coordinator, supporting the team with the tasks and projects that we work hard on behind the scenes to help ensure the service we provide to our clients runs smoothly.

  • At the same time, Caroline joined the team to work alongside Jess. Together they make sure that everything runs like clockwork, from arranging and preparing for client meetings, to handling additional investments and withdrawals and everything inbetween.

  • More recently, Jordan joined us here at Spend Time as Assistant Financial Planner. He will be working very closely with Michael and will help to ensure we deliver a first class service and remain at the forefront of the Financial Planning profession.

A few weeks ago we sneaked out of the office over lunchtime to a local florist at Holme Grange craft village, where we enjoyed taking part in a wreath making workshop. It was lovely to do something festive together as a team.

Aside from our new team members, we were thrilled to be recognised in our work with vulnerable clients by receiving the coveted Highly Commended award a few months ago.

This doesn't come close though to the very kind emails and comments of feedback we have received this year; 51 in total, from our wonderful clients. We really do appreciate your personal messages of thanks and support, which means a great deal to all of us here.

Finally, to each of our highly valued and loyal clients, we've been honoured to serve you for another year, and we've thoroughly enjoyed doing so. Thanks for allowing us this privilege and we hope to continue to be here for you for many years to come.

All that remains is to wish you and your family a peaceful Christmas, and all the best for 2024, from all of us here at Spend Time.

P.S.

In the past you might remember receiving one of our Christmas cards designed by William and Teddy. As we don't send these any more, I'm excited to share a photo instead of our recent visit to Father Christmas. 😊
