Instead of sending cards, once again this Christmas we have chosen to support a local cause - First Days Children’s Charity – whose work aims to reduce child poverty by donating essential items to families with children in their early years and at school, ensuring they have what they need materially to have the best possible start in life.
After such a tough year of rising prices with the cost of living crisis impacting everyone, especially those families already struggling financially, the team at Spend Time wanted to do something extra to help families in need in the local area. Upon discovering the work of First Days Children Charity, we have purchased some brand new essential items such as coats, highchairs and pushchairs, to distribute to local families who could not otherwise provide these items for their children.
We also bought a range of delightful Usborne Christmas books shown in the photo above to be gifted to some of these local children, so that they may perhaps enjoy a Christmassy bedtime story with their family on Christmas eve.
All that remains is for us to send you our very best wishes for Christmas and the new year. It has been a privilege to serve you during 2022 and we look forward to seeing you in 2023.
